The Johnson County Ordinance states:

§ 9-1-3-2 PARKING ON COUNTY STREETS No vehicle or trailer of any sort shall be permitted to park on county streets between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. the next morning, Monday through Thursday nights. (Ord. 89-24, ratified 4-14-2014)

Burning of Yard Waste is Prohibited.

​It is permissible to use wood burning fire pits and grates, however, as outlined in the Covenants:


Outside burning of leaves, grasses, trash, garbage or household refuse shall not be permitted...

So please restrict outside burning to only wood burning or gas fire pits and grates.


Portable Basketball Goal Rules

​​​
1)  A “Portable Goal” may be located in the front driveway -ONLY WHEN IN USE-, and must be moved and stored behind the front foundation line of your home at all other times.
​2)  All goals of a permanent nature are subject to Architectural Approval, and must be located behind the front foundation line of the home.


Commercial Signs Not Allowed

Please refer to the Brockton Manor Covenants, Article X, Section 3 for information about the restriction on placing signs in your yard advertising commercial businesses. This includes contractors doing work on your property.

School Spirit signs are allowed, after approval of the Sign Request Form available here.

The Department of Natural Resources does not take coyote sighting reports. 
If you spot one, and it seems to be threatening, contact the Johnson County Sheriff at 317-736-5155.
Most importantly, be aware of conditions around you when dealing with small children and animals.

Thanks to those residents that have replaced their damaged mailboxes. When driving through a neighborhood, the condition of the mailboxes is something that people first notice. This has an effect on their overall impression of that neighborhood.

Overnight Parking On the Streets Is Not Allowed

Article X, Section 4 (a), of the Brockton Manor covenants states: Parking (of automobiles only) is allowed on dedicated streets only when an Owner has a special function and the invited guests will not be able to park on such Owner’s lot. No overnight parking shall be permitted on any dedicated street.
